A Day of Connection: Culture and Community through Blackfoot ways

In partnership with FCSS and Homefire, join us for an afternoon of connection, learning, and community as we gather to celebrate Blackfoot culture and traditions. Through drumming, storytelling, traditional foods catered by Sikapinaki Catering, and hands-on activities, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of culture, community, and our relationship with the land.

A special part of this gathering will be a blessing of the land where future trees will be planted through the Town's tree-planting Urban Forestry Plan. This blessing recognizes the significance of the land and the growth to come, helping to lay the foundation for a project that will benefit future generations. A separate event will be held at a later date to bless the first tree planted as part of the initiative.

Attendees can enjoy traditional foods such as fry bread and berry soup, participate in rock painting, and learn more about how this project will contribute to a greener, more connected community.

Everyone is welcome to join us for this meaningful day of culture, community, and connection.
