In Alberta, municipal elections take place every four years. During elections, Coaldale residents vote to elect a mayor and six councillors.
Elections for Coaldale's local school boards - Palliser School Division and the Separate School Board - occur on the same day as the Town's municipal election. These elections will be facilitated by the Town of Coaldale for voter convenience.
