Volunteer Opportunities

Community events bring families, friends and neighbors together.  They help build comradery, forge new friendships and strengthen our community.  Volunteers are at the heart of every successful community event.  We invite you to join us and help make the 2024 lineup of Coaldale events a success again this year.  If you are 16 years of age or older and can help, please contact Community Services at clayton.varjassy@coaldale.ca or 403-345-1328.  Younger volunteers are invited to participate along with a parent or guardian.

If you are a local musician, singer, magician, play an instrument or have a special talent and would like to perform for the community, we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Community Services for more information and to introduce yourself.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Southern Alberta Summer Games (SASG)

The 51st Southern Alberta Summer Games will be hosted by the Town of Coaldale and Lethbridge County from July 3rd to July 6th. SASG has existed since 1970 and relies on a large team of volunteers to facilitate a great experience for all athletes and spectators from the 13 regions in Southern Alberta.  There will be a variety of volunteer roles available throughout the 2024 SASG.  If you are interested in volunteering for the Games, contact Mark McIntosh, Southern Alberta Summer Games Coordinator, at 403-345-1324 or mark.mcintosh@coaldale.ca for more information.

Snow Angels

Are you looking to stay active this winter? Join the Volunteer Snow Angels Team and help out a senior in the community by shoveling their walk after each snow event. Contact Community Services at 403-345-1328 for more information and to join this amazing team of volunteers. All ages are welcome!
