As a first-term Councillor, Jason is excited for the opportunity to represent the citizens' concerns and help navigate Coaldale into the future. Jason is committed to spending the next four years working to build and grow Coaldale together with everyone.
In 2014, Jason and his wife Erin made Coaldale their permanent home and have loved being able to build relationships with their neighbors as well as being active within the community. Their two daughters attend Jennie Emery Elementary School and enjoy being a part of different sporting activities around town. On the weekends you can usually find them chasing each other all over the mountains in the winter or enjoying the sun by the lake in the summer. Remaining active is an important part of their lives and they are always seeking a new adventure.
Jason has spent over 20 years in small business and became part owner of his family’s automotive repair shop in 2019. From his beginnings, he was fortunate to understand the value of hard work and as his role evolved he has focused much of his time on building and maintaining meaningful relationships with his staff and clients. In business, Jason has always operated on a solution-based and common sense approach and he intends to bring that same approach to Coaldale Town Council.
Jason’s philosophy is that elected officials work for you, and that’s how he plans to govern. Jason will work tirelessly to represent you and address your concerns. As a member of Council it is important to earn the trust of the residents and he will focus on restoring relationships between Council and the citizens. With the enormous amount of opportunity available to us in Coaldale, Jason feels that working together as a community will be what guides us forward united.
