We all need a little good news these days so why not send a greeting or kind word or provide a piece of artwork for others to enjoy as they take their walks. Grab your chalk and head out to the sidewalk in front of your house, once no snow is in the forecast. Brighten the day of passers-by with your words of hope, well wishes or creative artwork. If you don’t have chalk in the house, contact us at commserv@coaldale.ca We have a limited quantity of sidewalk chalk that we would be happy to drop off at your home so that you can join Coaldale in brightening up our community. As you are walking, take pictures of your favorite sidewalk messages and artwork and share with commserv@coaldale.ca We will post on here.
But remember, everyone is required to practice social distancing at all times to help protect themselves and limit the spread of COVID-19.
To protect yourselves and others as per www.alberta.ca:
- Practice social distancing – keep at least 6 feet from others
- Stay home and away from others if sick or in isolation
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow
- Avoid touching your fact with unwashed hands
