Town staff members sponsor Canada Day to kick-off summer sponsorships
As temperatures continue to rise across Western Canada, the Town of Coaldale is opening up an opportunity for individuals and organizations to sponsor free swim sessions at the Coaldale Pool from 2:30-4:30pm starting on July 2.
Sponsors can pay for 2 hours of free swim for $500.
A number of Town of Coaldale staff members have personally sponsored free swim for the entire day on Canada Day. Pool hours are from 11am–5pm.
“Sponsoring free swim sessions will allow all families in Coaldale the opportunity to escape this heat wave and enjoy some quality time at our local pool,” said Cam Mills, Manager of Economic Development and Strategic Initiatives. “We also felt this would be a great way to kick-off Stage 3 of Alberta’s Open for Summer plan and let the summer begin.”
Anyone interested in sponsoring a free swim session can contact Erica Romeo at community@coaldale.ca or 403-345-1323. If possible, please contact several days in advance of the day you wish to sponsor to allow sufficient time to book extra lifeguard staff.
