The Coaldale Public library is now open with restriction
As we welcome you back in our building, the following will now be in place to protect the safety of our employees and patrons:
- Employees and patrons are required to complete the self-assessment posted at the entrance before entering the building.
- Anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 must not visit the Library. Symptoms included: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or runny nose.
- Lounging is discouraged at this time.
- Please practice 2 metres physical distancing.
- The maximum occupancy allowed at this time is 40 people.
- Our reduced hours are as follows:
Tue - Fri 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 pm and Sat 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday – Friday, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. will be dedicated to the vulnerable populations. This will include patrons 65 years and older as well as those with physical disabilities and compromised immune systems.
Programs and Services:
- Programs in the Library are suspended until further notice.
- Now offering programming kits for kids, register for them and be entered into a draw to win prizes!
- Online adult and teen summer reading club, tell us about what you’re reading by filling out our form on our website and be entered to win prizes.
- Digital programs through our Facebook page. Join us online Wednesday for Small Wonders for songs and stories. Join us Friday for Messy Morning for stories and crafts.
- Certain services will also be unavailable until further notice including: local press newspapers, in-house toys, Toy Library, the McCain Gallery and room rental.
Curbside Pick-up:
- We’ll continue curbside pick-up to limit the number of people in the building. Place your holds online or email us your list at help@coaldalelibrary.ca.
Curbside Pick-up Instruction:
- Call us at 403-345-1340 when you arrive.
- Please remain in your vehicle or stand away from the entrance while staff bring your holds and place them on the blue pickup shelf.
- Please practice physical distancing while retrieving your holds.
- Please do not place any personal bags or other belongings on the shelf.
Other:
- Online holds are now available on Chinook Arch Member Libraries materials.
- We recommend using our HOLD service for quick pickups.
- Materials checked out during this time are subject to normal due dates.
- Returned materials will be quarantined for 3 days. Allow 3 days for this to be reflected on your account
- Limited access by appointment for computers, printing, scanning, and faxing.
