On June 2, 2025, the Town of Coaldale officially launched its 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey.
As an essential tool for fostering community engagement and dialogue, the 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey covers a wide range of topics including Town programs and services, finance and taxation, governance, communication and engagement, and quality of life.
“As a Council, we are fully united in our belief that strong communities are built on strong communication between local government and residents,” said Town of Coaldale Mayor, Jack Van Rijn. “That’s why we’ve made a commitment to conduct this survey each year—not as a checkbox, but as a meaningful way to hear directly from the people we serve. The feedback we receive will guide how we prioritize projects, allocate resources, and plan for the future. Whether it’s a comment on service delivery, a suggestion for improvement, or a general reflection on life in Coaldale, every response matters and every voice helps shape our direction as a community. On behalf of Council, I encourage all residents to take a few minutes to complete the survey and play an active role in helping us move Coaldale forward.”
The 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey has been thoughtfully designed to encourage broad participation, ensure clarity in the responses collected, and produce results that can directly inform Council’s decision-making. To achieve these goals, the survey includes:
- a concise and accessible format to make participation quick and easy for all residents;
- clear and consistent questions that allow for meaningful analysis of community priorities; and
- a focus on actionable insights that will help guide future planning, budgeting, and service delivery.
Now open to all Coaldale residents, the survey will remain active until July 31, 2025. The results will be compiled and presented to Town Council in early September, ahead of Council’s 2025-2026 budget deliberations and strategic planning sessions.
