The Town of Coaldale is rapidly expanding - there are a number of development projects in the works to accommodate the growing population.
Monterra Projects Ltd. and partners are planning to develop 23.4 acres of land for residential uses, including single-family homes, townhouses, low-rise apartments and senior housing in South Coaldale. This range of housing will provide a variety of options to meet the varying needs of current and future residents, as well as support opportunities for residents to age in place and young adults to remain in the community.
The proposed West Coaldale Development Concept Plan outlines potential future residential and commercial development in the SW of Coaldale. The design includes a number of proposed areas that create connections and provide services to the community.
ISL Engineering, Land Services Ltd. and Destiny Homes Inc. are preparing a draft Area Structure Plan (ASP)/Outline Plan for Coaldale Prairie Crossing. This Area Structure Plan/Outline Plan will provide a framework for future development which is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Town of Coaldale.
ISL Engineering, Land Services Ltd. and a development group, in cooperation with the Town, are preparing a draft Area Structure Plan (ASP)/Outline Plan for lands directly west of the Town's existing industrial area. This Area Structure Plan/Outline Plan will provide a framework for future development which is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Town of Coaldale's Town Plan and other guiding documents.
Civic Square is a multi-use commercial office development located on Coaldale’s Main Street.
The Town of Coaldale partnered with Palliser Regional Schools to bring a new school to Coaldale - the first school Coaldale has been in 25 years - built alongside the brand-new, state-of-the-art multi-use recreation centre.
