Location: 2211—16 Street

Kin Skate Park

Into skateboarding or biking? Be sure to check out Kin Skate Park, located at 2310–22 Avenue. Developed and funded by the local chapter of the Kinsmen Club, this is the spot to try (or watch others trying) the latest board tricks.

For young children there’s a separate playground area, making Kin Skate Park an inviting place for the whole family.

Location: 2310-22 Avenue

McCain Park

This green space was created with funding from the McCain Foundation. It’s the ideal spot for a small picnic, a game of pickup soccer or a Frisbee toss. Located on the corner of HWY 3 and 13th Street, McCain Park is centrally located and close to the recreational “headquarters” of our community.

Rotary Memorial Park

Rotary Memorial Park is one of the Town’s most recent additions. Located at 19 Avenue & 13 Street, it couldn’t be situated in a better spot to sit down and enjoy a cold drink or ice cream. Relax on a park bench, or take a walk and enjoy the flowers and greenery. This community enhancement project is a must-see!

Location: 19 Avenue & 13 Street

Millennium Park—Veterans’ Cenotaph

This lovely, vast open green space is the home to the Town’s Veterans’ Cenotaph.  Each year on November 11th, the park hosts the community’s Remembrance Day ceremony.

More than 11 acres in size, Millennium Park is also a major recreational intersecting point, connecting green space from the Hospital, Jennie Emery Elementary School, the Coaldale Sportsplex and ‘the HUB,’ an indoor recreational and social programming facility. Within the Park are a community fruit and vegetable garden, sports fields and a natural outdoor amphitheatre.

Location: Behind the Coaldale Sportsplex and across the road from RI Baker Middle School, along 13 Street between 20 & 21 Avenue.

Garden Grove Park

The Garden Grove Park was recently upgraded with brand new playground equipment and a pair of saucer swings. A volunteer-based build took three days to put up the new equipment in the fall of 2014. There is also green space for families to enjoy a picnic.

Location: 22 Street between 17 A and 16 A Avenues.

Eastview Park

Eastview Park has an asphalt area for rollerbladers, ball hockey, basketball and other sports, as well as soccer pitches. For those interested in walking the park, there are plenty of benches to rest on or while away an afternoon.

Location: 1825-10 Street

Kinship Park

Kinship Park is one of the newest playground and park areas developed in Coaldale. It is located in the Cottonwood subdivision, east of the Land-O-Lakes Golf Club. It includes playground equipment, swings and picnic tables. There is also green space for kicking around balls and playing catch.

Location: Aspen Drive off of Cottonwood Drive

Parkside Park

Parkside Park is located in the Parkside subdivision on the East side of Coaldale and features playground equipment.

Location: West end of Parkside Drive

Off-leash Dog Park

Located at the corner of 20 Avenue and 8 Street this park is ideal for dog owners who want to let their canine companions run leash free. Dog owners are reminded it is their responsibility to clean up their dog’s poop in this park and anywhere in Coaldale where they walk their dogs.

The off-lease dog park also serves as a stormwater retention pond during storm events and may be out of commission at times of high water volume due to storm run-off.
