How to Pay
The Town of Coaldale offers several convenient options for you to pay your bill.
Pre-Authorized Payments:
- For utility payments, please complete and return the Pre-authorized debit form to utilityclerk@coaldale.ca.
- For tax payments, please complete and return the Tax Installment Payment Plan form taxclerk@coaldale.ca.
Financial Institutions:
Tax and utility payments to the Town of Coaldale can be made through most financial institutions.

To avoid late fees please allow 3-5 business days for processing your payment as the Town of Coaldale will credit your account the day we receive the payment.
Town Office:
The Town of Coaldale Town Office is located at #200, 1801 20 Ave, Coaldale, AB, T1M 1N1.
Payment by cash, cheque, or INTERAC Direct Payment can be made during normal business hours. at Town Office. A drop box is available beside the front doors of the Town Office for payments made outside of business hours. You can also mail your payments to the Town Office, with cheques payable to “Town of Coaldale”.
Third-party Online Credit Card Service:
The Town of Coaldale accepts online payments via credit card through PaySimply. Services that you can pay through this method include: Utilities, Property Taxes, Development Permits, Bylaw Fines, Accounts Receivable (including renewal Business licenses) and Dog License renewals.
Please note:

A convenience fee is charged through the use of this service by PaySimply and is independent of the Town of Coaldale.
- You must allow 3-5 business days for processing to avoid late fines and penalties. If payment is received by the Town of Coaldale after the due date, the customer will be responsible for late payment penalties.
To pay using this method, please follow the links below, as payment via credit card PaySimply can only be made online and is not available at the Town Office.
Utilities: Pay here
Your account number is located on the top right corner of your Utility Invoice. When entering your account number, ignore the decimal in your account number. Account numbers are between 8 and 10 digits in length.
Property Taxes: Pay here
Your account number will be the “Roll Number” which is located on the top right corner of your Property Assessment and Tax Notice. Account numbers are between 9 and 10 digits in length.
Development Permits: Pay here
Your account number will be the “Development Permit Number” which is located on the top right corner of the Development Permit and is a total of 8 characters in length. For example: “2021-001”.
Bylaw Fines: Pay here
Your account number will be the “Municipal Violation Ticket Number" which is located on the top left corner of the Municipal Violation Ticket and is a total of 10 characters in length. For example: "M12345678B".
Accounts Receivable: Pay here
Your account number will be the “Invoice #” which is located on the top right corner of the Invoice and is a total of 4 digits in length. For example: “1234”.
Dog License: Pay here
Your account number will be the “Owner #” which is located on the top right corner of the Invoice and is between 2 and 5 digits in length.
