Coaldale STRONG!

Coaldale STRONG! is a two-phase capital campaign to support the construction of the Town's new recreation centre and to ensure we have the sport and recreation equipment required to facilitate full programming upon opening in spring, 2024.

The Town of Coaldale has dedicated 20 acres for a joint school and a 55,000 sq ft multi-use recreation facility north of Highway 3 and east of 30th street.

This joint project is game-changing for Coaldale. Now we will become a magnet for recreation, sports, special events, and other programming that directly contributes to economic prosperity and improved quality of life

Imagine how wonderful it would be to access all that and so much more, right here in Coaldale!

Phase 1

In September 2021, the Town launched phase 1 of its Coaldale STRONG Capital Campaign in an effort to generate $1 million in philanthropic support for Coaldale’s new multi-use recreation center. Since then, the Town has received nearly $1.5 million in donations, pledges, and sponsorships, moving the fundraising goal post to $2 million and opening the campaign to donations from the general public.

If you would like to contribute phase 1 of the campaign, please click on the button below or contact Barry Knapp at 403-331-3852 or b.k@globalphilanthropic.ca.

Phase 2

With the philanthropic portion of the campaign winding down, phase 2 of the campaign is now officially underway. Phase 2 of the campaign offers the opportunity for a major sponsor to secure naming rights for the 55,000 square foot state-of-the-art building and, in so doing, partner with the Town to make Coaldale a preferred place to live, work, and play.

If you or your organization is interested in securing naming rights for Coaldale's new multi-use rec centre, please review the Town's Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI). To obtain a copy of the of the RFEI, please email Russ Tanner at russ.tanner@coaldale.ca.
