Water Situation Update March 13, 2014 at 8:41 am

Update – March 13, 2014 8:41 am.

The Town of Coaldale water storage is in critical condition due to a large draw from the system early this morning.  It is vital that everyone conserve water and reduce consumption.  Water use should be restricted to cooking and drinking only.

For rural residents requiring fills for their cisterns please note truck fills are open at Barons, Nobleford, Fort Macleod and Raymond, all of which are on different water systems than the City of Lethbridge.

Reminder that the Boil Water Order continues to be in effect.  Tap water must be boiled at a rolling boil for at least one minute before consumption.

Should residents have any questions regarding water safety from a health perspective they are asked to visit www.albertahealthservices.ca or call Health Link Alberta at 1-866-408-5465.

More updates will be posted on the  Town of Coaldale website as information becomes available. Please also continue to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you to everyone for reducing water consumption and continuing to follow the boil water order.
