1. How often are the water meters read:
Meters are read monthly.
2. What do I do if my meter is leaking?
Contact the Town of Coaldale Operations at 403 345-1300.
3. Why is my water bill so high?
Most likely you have a leak somewhere in your home. Dripping faucets and running toilets are the most common areas for leaks.
4. What do I do if the sewer is backing up?
Homeowners are responsible for all sewer systems contained within their home as well as the line from the home to the sewer main. If there is a blockage within the home or in the line leading to the sewer main the homeowner is responsible to contact a plumber.
If the sewer is backing up, please contact the Town so the sewer main can be checked.

Waste Disposal Information
Please help reduce the amount of waste we dispose of
Newspapers, phone books, magazines, catalogs, cardboard, household plastics and other recyclable materials can be taken to the Recycling Depot located just north of Garden Grove Shell. Please note that styrofoam and packing materials are not recyclable; these can be put out with your household garbage.
Kitchen and yard waste can be reduced by composting instead of disposing in the garbage. Compost makes great dressing for your trees, shrubs and plants and helps the environment.
Grass clippings can be reduced by grass mulching or grasscycling, leaving lawn clippings on the lawn when mowing instead of disposing in the garbage. The grass clippings will quickly decompose and return valuable nutrients to the soil for a greener richer lawn.
Hazardous and toxic materials can be taken to the Toxic Roundup for safe disposal. Toxic Roundup is scheduled for May 15, 2010 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Town Shop located at 1408 - 13 Street.
Computer and other electronic equipment may be disposed of at e-Roundup. e-Roundup is also scheduled for May 15, 2010 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Town Shop located at 1408 - 13 Street.
