Briane Simpson – Candidate for Council

I am excited to be one of your six councilors for Town of Coaldale.  I have a supportive network of family and friends and the time to commit.

I believe my current volunteer positions as Chair of the Cottonwood Committee, Member of Communities in Bloom, Member of Leadership Team for my Church and Member of the Library Board have proven that I am approachable, eager and hardworking.  In the past my work as President of the Lethbridge & Area Neighbourhood Watch, President of Land O Lakes Ladies League, Vice President of the Lethbridge Humane Society has been the building blocks for this next step.

Also through my volunteerism, including volunteering for Schools and Coaldale Minor Hockey, I have experienced what our wonderful Town has to offer, but I have also seen where improvements are needed.

I’m excited about Coaldale’s future but also cautious.  I believe Coaldale needs to make a commitment to increase and maintain infrastructure for our growing Town.  Council also needs to be transparent and fiscally responsible and accountable.  We need to look into the future regarding recreation and culture for our younger community but also for the elderly.   I would like to promote commercial growth within our Town.  I also feel we need to grow and maintain relationships with the City of Lethbridge, County of Lethbridge and the Town of Taber.

I believe I am that young, family oriented and strong voice that is needed on Council.  Please feel free to contact myself at
