Kinsmen Club of Coaldale President, Jack Van Rijn (R) along with members of the Kinsmen Club of Coaldale, present Town of Coaldale Councillors Roger Hohm, Doreen Lloyd, Butch Pauls and Bill Chapman with a cheque for $100,000 that will go towards the revitalization of Eastview Park in Coaldale, located at 1825-10 Street.

The Kinsmen’s $100,000 donation was matched by the Town of Coaldale, with an additional $100,000 that will go towards improvements of the park that include:

Two regulation sized Tennis Courts that will also be set up for Pickleball.

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net.

Kids’ freezone 10 piece Parkour Area

Parkour is a training discipline using movement. Participants aim to get from one point to another in a fun environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

The Kinsmen Club of Coaldale is looking to have this project completed in 2019 in partnership with the Town of Coaldale. We are still in the process of fundraising and if you are interested in participating in this endeavor, or you simply want more information, feel free to contact Jack Van Rijn by emailing to contact@coaldalekinsmen.com for more information.

All contributors will be recognized on a donor plaque that will be posted at ‘Eastview Park’ at the completion of the project.
