Electoral boundary input sought from residents

A review of electoral boundaries is underway in Alberta and there is the possibility the Little Bow Riding will not be retained.

According to the Interim Report Maps Coaldale could become part of the new Cardston-Kainai Riding.

At the June 12 meeting of Coaldale Town Council a motion was passed to write a letter to the commission requesting the Town of Coaldale be included in proposed Vulcan-Taber Riding should the Little Bow Riding be eliminated.

Council felt Coaldale has more commonalities with municipalities in the proposed Vulcan-Taber Riding, not the least of which is Taber and Coaldale are similar in size and both are found along Highway 3.
